Big Green Egg Höfats Beer Box Fire Pit

Created in Germany by Höfats, award-winning designers of fire-based products, the Beer Box Fire Pit supports two of our favourite activities: supping on a beer and sitting around a fire as the sun goes down. Made from characterful corten steel, the box functions as a robust, easy-to-carry beer crate, complete with its own built-in bottle opener – perfect for heading out on the road with a MiniMax. It also doubles as a wood-burning fire pit.

Of course, there’s no rule that says you can only use it for beer – it’s just as good for storing or transporting food, fuel or tools. And if you buy more than one, they’re designed to be stackable.

We would suggest using hardwood logs. Make sure they are as dry as possible. Use a maximum of 3kg of firewood in each load and, especially at the beginning, look for small, thin logs.
