Focus – Ware – Morley Stove Company

It was in 1967 that sculptor Dominique Imbert, in an effort to warm his studio, created his first fireplace at the base of the Cevennes in the South of France. The Antefocus, followed by the international award winning Gyrofocus was the first suspended fireplace to pivot 360°, and was then reproduced for a number of enthusiastic viewers. Focus contemporary designs can be found in locations ranging from Art Galleries in Marseille to condominiums in Tokyo, to having been exhibited in some of the world's most prestigious design museums including the Guggenheim Museum in New York City and the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm. Over the years Focus fireplaces have been awarded numerous distinctions including the Italian Pulchra Design award for ‘The Worlds Most Beautiful Object” in 2009 for the Gyrofocus.
